Just got back from vacation which i took tons of digital pics plus some digital movie clips (MOV files). I want to make a videoCD and put all the pictures i took plus the MOV clips. Maybe a menu with a button for the pictures and another button for the MOV clips. Do i need to convert the MOV files to another format? which program is good to make a videocd? thanks

Both the images and mov need to be converted to VCD compliant MPEG1. I would suggest TMPGEnc it can convert the mov and images. Could also convert the images to MPEG stills with VCD Easy though when you author.

i downloaded TMPGEnc which i thought was a trial version but asks for the serial. I cant use it unless i have a serial but i sure aint gonna buy it just to make a videocd.

Trial version available here: http://www.pegasys-inc.com/en/download/te3xp.html
or
http://download.pegasys-inc.com/download_files/TMPGEnc-2.521.58.169-Free.zip <--older version, free for MPEG1 (VCD) encoding.
There is also a trial version of 2.5 pro on there.

The last free version was I think v1.5 or something like that. You should be able to find a download somewhere.
