help!!!!! *dynamic disk* harddrive

hi to all and hope you guys can help me.

i have a 160g hd and had partitions on it. it is my second (slave) drive and i use it for storage and such.
when i opened it today it disappeared from *my computer*. i tried hardware installation and found it and said it is working properly but still no sign of it in my comp. i opened up partion magic and i saw the whole drive in yellow with the name dynamic disk. i tried to partition it but can't do anything.
how do i get rid of dynamic disk? is my hd dead?
