i was using windows media player series 9 for playing avi files well i think they were avi.... now it wont play the same files that i used to play... it say having problems downloading codec when i try to play the short video clip that i have
always played using windows media player. is there anyway i can fix this or is it maybe the video clips that are corrupt
thanks for any help
open the files up inside GSpot (gspot.headbands.com) and check to see if the appropiate codecs are installed on your machine.
if not post what codec(s) are needed and we should be able to help you out
BTW have you played this specific file using WMP9 before or have you used them on a different app/version of WMP?
and is the error message
"unable to locate/download an appropiate decompressor"
depending on the content and file size feel free to mail it to me steven_ogilvie@hotmail.com and ill check it out to see if the file is corrupt
