As tghe title says please. Just bought MS Office 2003 and tried to back it up with Alcohol 120% and Nero but it won't. Anyone know how to do this please as I don't like to keep using original discs.
youll need to find out the protection used on it. i cant remeber the name of the program that does it but if ill find out ill edit my post

if that comes up as no protection try using the setting securom v4.8x

Shouldn't be protected at all. What exactly is the problem/error?

it isn't protected at all. I was able to copy it just fine using Nero.
ok fair enough ..... im still using 97 so id never of known that

Problem sorted CDRWin solved the problem. Just in case anyone else needs the info the problem is the .bin files. CDRWin is one of the few copying progs that will copy these CD's. When I tried copying in Nero it showed up as a protected CD. Roger the Shrubber, is it Office 2003 or office XP that you copied? Seems strange that you were able to copy using Nero and I couldn't?

Yes, it was Office 2003. However, this was the Corporate/Enterprise edition we copied. MS puts a lot less restrictions on the Corporate versions of their software & OS's so it may be that the home version is protected. We sucsessfully copied the disc over 20 times.
