View Full Version : power light flashing red / green !
Anyone help with this problem here ? - I got hold of a v4 with a poor chip install, took chip out. On power up, fan runs, but power light starts flashing red/green after a few seconds. Tried a V7 ribbon cable to replace v4 but no joy. Can't see any solder bridges, burnt out components or the like. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Tony

Did you do the install? Sounds like the person that did it may have used the wrong iron to solder (too hot), which may have fried it. Just a thought
No - not me! Thing is, doesn't look like there's anywhere that's fried. Just wondered if anyone's come up against this before?
Any particular fuses that might cause this, or could it be the lens controller chip?

there is most likely a solder bridge on the dvd controler pins ..
Thanks, I'll check it out again.
