My built in webcam in my laptop don't work, any advice?

Ive got a new laptop, with a built in webcam, i used it before no probs, but for the last 2 days, it says some other sofware is using it, for example on msn messenger. Anyone have any sort of idea, what happenning?

drivers corrupted perhaps? used to happen loads on the old Sony Vaio CV series.

Try reinstalling the drivers and software associated with the webcam.
