Just bought an XBOX and am not sure if I want to get a softmod or a chip.
What are the Pros/Cons.

Any suggestions are must appreciated.

I wont go in to loads of details m8, but i had a chipped box then sold it so i could get a softmod which i know regret. I have a xploit based on the audio hack so pressing numerous buttons to get a game started is a pain in the ***.

The only upside i can see is that its totaly reversable so ur guarantee is still intact.
I mainly got it because it was supposed to work with Live but i had it for about a week and microsoft got a update and i got booted (Banned)

So now im reverting back to what i had in the 1st place and will get a switch chip and all the software put on to my box :)

Just my opinion and im no expert m8 ..........

i prefer chips.

the only up side of the softmod is that it is reversable, and your warranty is intact

but i would say chips are better cos i can install them and i dont know how to do the softmod. :D

If I was buying an XBOX now I would go for a softmod, the font exploit works great and I have it on my XBOX just incase my chip ever failed.

If I wanted to go on Live I would get a chip so I can easily switch it off.

cheers. Going to try the softmod first but will probably get a chip fitted in the end.
