Anyone tried or heard anything about this? (HD Loader)

Looks SUPER tempting, but I was wondering if anyone had tried it here and had any input on it. I'll probably order one as soon as my check goes through anyway, but wanted a bit of heads up.. maybe to justify spending the money hehe.

Seems liek a silly question, but do you need a modchip installed? I have a v9 that's getting dusty because my v7 w/dms3 gets all the play.(I don't feel like registering at ps2ownz to read the forum at the moment)

Just noticed it only got posted earlier today, so I bet noone has one yet. Let me know if you know more than me though :)

:eek: Wow!!! Unlike the xbox this wasn't developed as homebrew and distributed free, which is a pretty smart move by the development team if the thing works, I might have to give it a shot since divineo is a reputable dealer.

That could be why the money that was taken out of my account by divineo is back, but I don't know. I haven't gotten any emails yet.

Reports are in and they look good, unfortunately the disk is encoded and a crack is being worked on but for now you need the original disk. It's been reported to work with modchips and swap users just swap-trick the disks out once the screen asks for the disk to be copied. I should have my disk in the next coupke of weeks as I just ordered it.

Mine is being mailed out today, should be here Friday, but I won't be here as I'm going on a trip tomorrow. Unfortunate, because now I get to hear about how cool it is for a whole month from my friend that's picking it up for me.

Read the faq on it too. It says no online games. Also, no AR or GS disks. Not to mention that you have to put their disk in everytime you want to use the loader in order to get a GUI.

You also need a BBA (weird since no online games), loader, HD, boy, altogether it would cost nearly $200 .....almost as much as a modded xbox with HD :-)

Swap Trick User Instructions


boot up HD Loader
at main menu, use EJECT button to insert Swap Magic DVD
go to install, the Swap Magic DVD will stop spinning
swap with your back-up via Flip-Top or Slide Card
press OK to install :D
