Just upgraded to a PIoneer 106D dvd writer but it wont read my cdrw discs just says insert blank disc...they work on my other my cd writer a hewlet packard 8100...I even done a full format then tried them back in the Pioneer drive and still I can not write to them...I only have 4 cdrw discs but they are handy when I just need to move a few files etc to my other PC or to give to my mates...Anyone know how to get the Pioneer 106D to recognise the discs as rewritable discs...cheers

hhmmm i don't know.. but might want to upgrade the firmware if they have one for the pioneer 106D... i would say that the media you have there isn't that good that why the DVD writer isn't reading it... .. btw it's better for you to network your computer to transfer file from one computer to the next.. would cost you not that much... i would say...
