Where Did I Go?

Hi guys, recently brought an Epson Stylus CX5400. Very pleased with it.

When I got it, I asked the salesman if I could refil the cartidge, and he said I could... but I'd have to reset the chip.
So,... how do I reset these? Are they complicated? take long? What equipment do I need, and how much, and where from?
I'm in UK btw.

Appreciate your help,

Cheers

universal chip resetters ~£10 from internet ink suppliers.
with compatable carts. ~£4, not worth the mess imho.

I usually get my epson compatible cartridges from here - agree with aaronjon, refills not worth the hassle.

i use a ssc service util for mine, it resets the cart to full so you can get the last of the ink out, usually a lot. but as above compats are that cheap re filling is pointless! lmk ill try mail u the util.
