Why are you buying a 11Mbps router when u can buy a 54 Mbps or even 108 Mbps router? You are buying yesterdays technology. Buy yourself a 54 or 108, that`s my advice. The price difference is insignificant. And, yes you should be able to surf the net with 3 computers via cables (also on 54). Remember that on 11 Mbps if youre going to transfer files, the speed really sucks!

You will still need to buy a wireless card for any pc that connects to the router. If you buy 802.11g cards and router you will be able to connect at 54, not real sure about 108

You have G cards at 108. The firmware there has been upgraded. 11 Mbps for wireless b is maximum, but what I recommend, is wireless G. Also normally compatible backwards with b.

Aren't those cards at 108 restricted to certain manufacturers? I thought there were issues with compatibility. I will have to do some more research when i get the chance

It`s not all manufacturers that offer 108. But what you can order is 54 which is compatible with wireless b.

The web surfing experience is still the same on all WiFI versions. Irregardless of what revision of WiFi system you get the fact remains that they are all still faster then the typical broadband connection which is usually between 512kbps and 3mbps. The only real advantage of having faster WiFi technology is for your internal networking (i.e. transfering files between your laptop or PDA and your desktop)
