I have win xp on a machine, and used Partition Magic 8.0 to make space for my linux partition. I installed mandrake 9.2 and it works like a charm, but now I can`t boot up windows. Error message I get is XMNT2002 Program not found, then it restarts. Since Im a complete noob on Linux I don`t have the slightest idea what to do. Does anyone have any suggestions what I should do? How can I remove the XMNT error message Partition Magic have created from the startup to windows XP? Please help me obi-wan kenobi, you`re our only hope! The rest of u guys are also free to help if possible!

Ive known quite a few people have this problem using partion magic 8

anyway im pretty sure it was something to do with the windows ntfs partion being hidden you can fix this by editing lilo.config and unhiding the partion cant think how its done right now with lilo but if your using grub its something like

unhide (hd0,0)
at the grub command line.

i fixed it last night. I used a little boot program called boot (I think). First of all i booted up from a startup disk so i got to dos. There I started the boot program and made the fat32 partition visible so I was able to get into windows. Then I went into the registry making some changes, and deleted xmnt2002.exe and some pq files! Done and dusted! :)
