Hard Drive Testing Programs

Anyone suggest any ?

Got a hard drive I took out of a lappy that the power supply spiked it lappy seems goosed but the drive seems fine but when I use it there is a clicking now and again

Ran disk checked within windows on a hard drive caddy and its not picking up any errors

The drive is a seagate and when I use there tools it picks the drive up via the caddy but wont let me run any tests and when I connect it up through a sata cable windows does see the drive but the seagate tools prog doesn't

Anyone got any suggestions or advise ?

You'll need to run a Disk Check on the drive with both options Automatically Fix File System Errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors enabled. After that, use Hard Disk Sentinel Pro (http://www.hdsentinel.com/) (my favorite) to check the drive and to verify its integrity.

Cheers Van already done both options on the disk check will run the prog you suggested and see how that goes
