question about networking

Hi lads need info
i have a wireless router downstairs which i connect my ps3 and computer d/s to via cable
i also have a 360 upstairs with a laptop 360 connect with a cable ran upstairs and laptop wireless
question is i plan to get a tv box upstairs which needs to be hard wired to router
can i use the cable running up aready and split it 2 ways
if so what do i use
or do i need to run a second cable up

What you will need is a good switch like this one (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833156250), connect the existing cable to the switch and each computer to a port on the switch.

This (http://www.ebuyer.com/product/185149) is a good 8-port Gigabit switch. The 5-port version (http://www.ebuyer.com/product/184892) is a bit cheaper. Both support jumbo frames up to 9KB MTU.
