Ok i'm toying with the idea of getting a new xbox slim and am torn between the 4gb and 250 gb so am just wondering a few things?

Can you transfer video/music files (via usb stick or streamed) to be stored on the hard drives of the new machines (like ps3) or is it streaming only again?

Can you play video/music off a usb storage device?

Can you use a personal external usb device to store demo's, saves etc...on?

What would you guys suggest to go for 4gb or 250gb?

Cheers

Still only streaming for video/music files. Yes you can play videos from usb drive or external hd as long as its fat32 formatted. Yes they let you use your own memory sticks or external hds now to save your games and demos and what not. Only catch with that is the maximum size they let you use is 16gb and you have to connect it to the xbox and format it on there first and if using external hd i think maximum it would recognize is 32gb which would be partitioned into 2 16gb sections.

If you have big vid or music files of course you know what to do but if not you can always stream from your PC... I do both. Some day hopefully via XBox 720 or something we will get what we should have had long ago but now enjoy!
