DVD Media Prices

:insane: Over the last few months months dvd media prices have plummetted ( < have i splet that right ) anyway :director: HOW LOW CAN IT GO ! A tub of G04 ritek for under £9, the way things are going when the 12 speed or D/layer media became available the prices will drop again, it'll end up cheaper than CDR's, I'm not moaning i think it's about time, :yell1: but why are 8 speed DVD-R cheaper than 8 Speed DVD+R when 8 speed DVD+R has been available longer ?.

I would guess that the - format media would be cheaper since they are trying to keep the format going. Either way though, it won't matter much if + format DL drives can't get thier problems sorted out. Which drive do you have BTW? If you have a Pioneer or NEC then you can burn 4x DVD-R media at 8x. Saves ya quite a bit of money. I don't know about anyone else but even with the price-drop, I can't justify spending $1.30-$1.40 a disc on true 8x media just to save 7-8 minutes of burning time. I can get 4x Riteks for 74 cents a disc shipped.
