Green lights on a 360 controller?

Hi all

I'm used to getting red lights on my 360's but I turned mine on this evening and the pad is showing 2 static green lights (top left and bottom right) and is not recognised by the console? It is an official wired pad.

I have tried all 3 USB ports, and even tried it on my PC, but all that happens is those 2 lights come on as soon as it gets power.

I realise that it is goosed but I was just curious if this had happened to anyone else and they knew what had caused it?

Try removing the hard-drive then reconnecting.
