Hello

Going to be upgrading from an Elite to a Slim in a couple of weeks time when they're released.

Unfortunately I need to trade in my Elite beforehand so wont be able to use the Data Transfer Kit that's available.

Is there a guide anywhere which could show me how to transfer everything onto my USB stick beforehand? (Gamertag, All Game Saves and DLC) & more importantly, how to transfer it all back onto the new console! lol

Worried in particular about my imported DLC from Rock Band 1 and Lego RB that I wont have the facility to download again

Cheers!

It does work as I've just recently done something similar. 16Gb max on usb stick so will it be enough for you.
Why do you say you won;t be able to re-download your content? If you cant access live for whatever reason, some of your content might not be usable as it's locked to your old console so would need the licenses transferring over which requires a conection to live I believe.

Cheers - just managed to transfer everything over to a 16gb stick

Looks like I may need to do this (http://www.xbox.com/drm) when I get the new console though to make sure everything works OK

Yep, thats what I said about licence transfer. When I did mine I'm sure you needed a connection to live to get it all working again.
