memory upgrade

looking to upgrade to 256mb
currently have 128mb with a spare slot for memory
if i add another 128mb will this be okay and will my memory then be 256mb????

In theory, yes.

But without any details on your motherboard, existing RAM, RAM type etc that's as definative as I can be.

Yes. But 256 mb is not alot by today's standards. A 256 stick should do you even better.
