1) Download then install DirectX Feb 2010 update (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=0cef8180-e94a-4f56-b157-5ab8109cb4f5);
2) Download then install the free DivX Plus (http://www.divx.com/en/win).

Did you also install DivX? If you need me to help you find the video driver, you'll need to tell the make/model of the system or motherboard.

- Check Device Manager to see if the video card is an ATI or nVIDIA or SIS.
- Go to this page (http://www.acersupport.com/) to download the video card driver. (Click on Driver Downloads, Desktop, Aspire then scroll down to select SA80).

The reason was Acer only supports Win XP for your PC. Please check Device Manager and tell me what SIS video card it is?

It's because you don't have the correct driver for it. Try this driver (http://download.cnet.com/SiS-VGA-driver-3-78-00-zip/3000-2108_4-164001.html).

Then let's try the newer version of the driver. Go to this page (http://www.sis.com/download/agreement.php?url=/download/), under Latest Drivers click the link Sis UniVGA3 graphics driver v3.91 to download it. The video card is too old, btw.
