fast write

just got the asus ati radeon 9800xt 256mb card a week ago.i have been told its best to have fast write turned off.is this true?

i have it turned on on my 9600xt, i had it turned off for a while but when i changed it there appeared to be no difference, so i just left it. it makes very little difference if any.

try it with it on and off with 3dmark, you will get an idea then
