Hi folks, 1st visit here from BST coz i need help.

recently my internet home page has bee changed to the following,
res://mshp.dll/index.html#37049. I have tried changing it back to what it was in the options default section but as soon as i start up next day back it comes. I have also noticed a couple of unsavoury web links have been auto forced into my favourites. Again, after deleting them they re-appear after starting up again. It is becoming a real pain. can any one offer advice on how to fix this and get my defaults to stick.

My os is XP pro.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Ian.

Hi there

this recently happened to me - if I remember correctly it is referred to as your homepage being hi-jacked.

I tried a few different things to get rid of the forced homepage and the tool that worked was called cwshredder (do a search on google for it) - very easy to use and worked a treat for me.

if that doesn't work do searches for variations on 'homepage hijack'

Hope this helps

search for a program called Adaware or Spybot and run a search on your system.
That should solve the problem
