IBM Thinkpad is dead?

I have a 'dead' IBM Thinkpad Tablet. It charges with the green light coming on but it won't turn on at all? No Hdd spinning, no other lights etc. Is the laptop savable? I want it saving as I need the hard drive as there are some pictures and stuff on there.

What can I do?

Did it power on OK with AC? I don't think the HDD was dead. You can try it in a USB external case.

It has a really strange HDD in it? Anyone know what adapter to buy to try it out?
