why do you think its overheating? is doing anything abnormal?, they do have a cut off, think its 65 c like most cpu`s

F=9/5*c+32
C=9*(f-32)/5

wow you mobo temp is lower than mine, it runs at 105 to 107
129 is a bit high but it can be adjusted, since your kindof new to the scene i'll try not to confuse you to much. I saw your running an alladin advance, unfortuantely i don't know how to flash this chip but i'll do some digging and post the instructions unless someones beats me to it. Your going to need to obtain an x2 bios(4977,4978,4981,4982) and a bios tool named xbtool. Once you get the bios you need to adjust the fan speed to 80% to 100% in xbtool and save the bios as the size that your chip will be able to hold(either 256k or 1024k, i'll get back to you on that) and then reflash the bios to your chip, which can be a little risky. But this should help with your heat issue.

not trying to argue here, but ive done the xbtool fan increase thingy, and found thats its best to increase the speed in increments of 20%, my other box runs quite happily at 40 %, thats 20% added to default, gets a bit noisy after that.........
If the xbox gets past a set temp, it simply shuts down.

...Yeah as ps2wiz just said, it shuts down automatically!
...Therefore u can't have an Xbox that runs too hot, its not possible.
...The processor has a built in heat sensor/shut down set up just like a P.C.
...U don't mention any unstability issues???
...Stop worrying, start enjoying :)

Sorry cheeky is right 20% increments are what I use, but I keep the boxes at 80% and it tends to keep the mobo temp at 115 max. I wasn't able to find out what type of bios size your chip holds so you might be able to get away with 1024k. You flash the chip through evox dash.
BTW the status on members has confused me a couple of times :P

no, i havent had any problems, but i wanted to be safe because the CPU temp seemed rather high. Thanks for all the info though guys, i'll be sure to check it out!
