Anyone got a guide for reading the new Liteons ?

Hi All

Looking to get a 360 with the release of the new f/w. Reading about it will probably end up being one of the newer undumpable models.

Is there a guide her re lifting pins etc in conjunction with jungleflash ?

Is there a chance of damaging the drive when just trying to read it as standard (without lifting pins)

Just after some more info really as can not find any ??

Think my mate has done this and looks simple enough. BUT what he did say is that he tried reading the drive as usual and it give him an error code (E72) i think.

He then went on to try this method and had no luck, so do you try the read the drive as usual and risk bricking it OR do you go ahead and use this method from start.

Also is there a definite list or way to tell that you have to use this method ?

I have read it is late Aug 09 changeover with f/w 94850, 83850 & 93450.

Anyone else add to this as it looks as if this will be the norm soon.

If you get constant status 0x52 (drive in protected mode), try dropping the value of the resistor. I use a 16 ohm on all drives as I had the same problem with some 934s on 20 ohm.

The method will work on all LiteOn drives and is the only option for late Aug 09 onwards.

Also, backup your fw's once you go LT, you cant redump with any standard method other than this hack.
