There are some driver tools like Driver Genius Pro (http://www.driver-soft.com/) and Driver Magician (http://www.drivermagician.com/) (the 2 better ones that I'm using) but they must be installed on the system that you need to update the drivers so they can scan the hardware in order to get the updates. They don't work as good as a human, though. Very often they would get the wrong updates that would lock up the system after installing them. I only use them to back up the drivers that I got via Windows updates. I don't use them to get the updates because I don't trust them.

The best thing to do is to go to the manufacturers' websites to download the drivers manually. Please tell more about the desktop and I will try to get the NIC driver for you so you can connect to the Internet with the desktop.

You can use the tools I mentioned above to backup the drivers found and installed by Windows so you can use them later without the need to let Windows search for them again.
