I am looking to buy a new digital camera for Christmas and want your suggestions for the best one. My budget is around $200-300 maybe $350. I want something that can carry in a pocket, easy to use, 10 megapixel and have all the latest features.

Suggestions please.! I have to buy before Christmas.

Honestly, there is no point in worrying about MP unless you plan on printing posters. Check out dpreview (http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/).

"Best" is all relative. You are always going to sacrifice something. Some generalizations .... Canon will give you very vivid colors and sharpness but you will give up build quality. Canon's build quality has developed a rep in the photography/film world for being poorly constructed. Panasonic will give you excellent build quality but the images are usually a bit softer and the colors are not as vivid. Nikons are usually built very well, offer good image quality but poor battery life and are often slightly slower than the others. Sonys ... you get the idea. Check the reviews and see which compromises you can live with. :)
