If your case does not have an empty bay, you can use an external enclosure like this one (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817155013). Note that the case in the example is for SATA HDDs with external connections for USB 2.0 and eSATA. USB 2.0 is the most commonly used port but it's slower than eSATA. If you want to use eSATA connection and your case doesn't have an eSATA port, you'll need to bring the internal SATA port from the motherboard to the outside via a bracket like this one (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812816068&cm_re=esata_bracket-_-12-816-068-_-Product).

I'll have a look around but I haven't seen one like that. I have 2 of these (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811999141&cm_re=hdd_cage-_-11-999-141-_-Product).
On a totally unrelated note, that wire management in the 2nd pic of HP's tutorial is shameful.
