You'll need to use a disk tool like Acronis Disk Director to remove the partitions on the drive then repartition & format it. I don't think Windows will format the drive because of the system partition.

I ment to say windows did allow me to format but it just never allowed me to touch the 100mb partition even in disk managment but hey its sorted now

Nice to see you got on well with Acronis Disk Director ;)

I must say .... this and Acronis True Image are 2 x programs that never cease to impress me.

Yep, and the lovely thing is if you install both programs in Windows, you'll be able to make a DOS boot CD with them both so when you boot the system up with this CD, you'll have the options to choose which one you want to run.

Yep .... the boot CD on True Image, has saved my bacon at least a couple of times now ;)

And remember the restore partition on the new laptop you just bought? Without Disk Director, you can never remove it via Windows regardless of how many F words you said to it. :D

Of course, other disk managers will work fine as well but I prefer Acronis Disk Director. It's so easy to use and so powerful.

I can't talk about Paragon's because the last time I used it was long time ago. It should see the hidden partitions if you got the settings right, IMO.
