Hi all,

I know a lot of you will have bought a Revo lately and may have wanted to use Windows 7 instead of Linux to watch Full HD content and have probably not been able to get it to work....so I thought Id share my efforts which have seen me get it fully working tonight using just windows media player for the simplest setup woohoo!!!

My Revo is the 3610 with the ION 330 chipset. The other model a lot of people have is the 3600 with the 230 chipset. The only difference between the two is mine is dual core, thats it. Ive installed an extra 2GB of RAM in it too just to help things along. Now I dont know if the 3600 model will work as well as mine but Im pretty sure it will as the CPU on mine runs at approx 15% when playing a Full HD Movie, if youre struggling at present just give my little guide a try.

Here you go:

1) Ensure a minimum of 2GB is installed in your Revo. It may work fine with 1GB but I would imagine it wouldnt...

2) Amend the graphics settings in the BIOS to allow the GPU to use 512MB of memory instead of the default 256MB.

3) Install Windows 7

4) Install All Windows Updates

5) Install the latest ION drivers from Nvidia’s Website, starting with the chipset drivers, then graphics and then audio.

6) Install ‘CoreAVC’ with defaults and enable hardware acceleration as shown below:

7) Install the DTS codec found here: http://codec.alshow.co.kr/Page/en/dts.htm

8) That’s it you’re done!!! If it all went well it should run as well as this:
