i have a usb wireless lan i have upgraded to vista ultimate and it says its installed then it isnt after r eboot.its an 802.11g model anyideas please as i am new to vista is it a case of the unit isnt supported if so any idea were i can find the drivers cheers guys in antisapation.:cheers::)

The reason being there are many wireless g adapters so people can't tell which one you have. 802.11g is only the wireless standard that tells you the wireless adapter is a g adapter.

Yep, please get the model # of the adapter and I'll try my best to get the driver for you. Also, please tell which Windows version (XP, Vista, 7) you are running. Normally, there is a small label/sticker on the adapter with the model and serial numbers on it.
Edit: Sorry, you said the OS was Vista Ult so I know you're running Vista now :) . BTW, is it x86 or x64?

hi van thanks for the advice re model number it was really small but i found it and problem now sorted once again the best but you no that any way hope life is good for you

Yep, my friend! In 90% of the cases once we get the make/model of the hardware all right, we can find the drivers for them easily.
