What are your guys thoughts on universal laptop chargers?

Are these really any good, or do you guys think they are rubbish. I was wondering as i have a rubbish laptop charger stop working,a nd was wondering about buying a universal one instead. Is there a good make of universal charger, i should look for?

Best place for these things are ebay, I normally dont use them because if by mistake you had the AMP/Voltage too high by mistake, you will most likely lose your lappy.

I agree with Duffy and also, we need to buy from a well known brand because if you buy a cheap 1 from an unknown brand, chances are if the charger gets zapped, so does the laptop. :)
