I love watching TV on my xbox

To some of you this may be old news but others might want to check this out.

This (http://www.gueux.net/xbmc-stream/index_eng.php?page=down) streampack for xbmc has around 2000 streams!

Most is in foreign languages but theres alot of cool stuff. Also alot of the video is a little blurry but some are pretty high quality. Make sure you are using the new xbmc so the .nsv ones work. Also these are all legal streams.

Theres also an austrian xxx stream that I found thats not in the streampack but you guys will have to find that for yourselves. :)

So, anybody have any favorite channels?

I haven't gone through them all but so far I really like RantTv they have some good arguements plus they have a show called HackTv which is pretty cool.

lol, theres one stream with a guy who sings karaoke into his webcam all day long. Its soo funny.

BigSteel- After you get your box connected to the internet, ftp all those streamfiles into a folder in your xbox. Then you start up xbmc and go to "music" and play the streams and the videos will start playing.

Hey Smokafatty-
I just got the streams pak, and I have the latest XBMC build. I can select the streams, and I can see the buffer loading. After it loads up, I can hear the TV station playing, but no video shows at all. What do you guys think the problem is. I thought that it was just the station, but I tried several diffrerent ones, and all of them play me sound, but no video. Any help on this would be GREAT, I love experimenting with things like this!

you downloading at all?- had a problem similar to that but paused all downloads on the pc etc and then it worked fine. Think basically its bandwidth issue possibly

by the way, do anyone know why i can't access my drives in my xbox with ftp and xbmc? i got permission denied everytime i try to access it.

Glad you finally got round to here lancerx by the way post a request in the Froum Problems and Test Area (http://dvdrom-guide.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=23) board and the mods'll eventually update your post count and status from cdrg.

As for you ftp problems are you by any chance running a cracked version of flash fxp- if so try another ftp client- its been giving alot of people probs.

other than that are you sure user name and password are correct?

and how exactly are your running this, staitic ip direct to pc or through a router (possibly dhcp)?

I installed cute ftp but still got the same problem, i'm runing an static ip that goes to the pc to a switch and then to my xbox. normally i can to evox happily connected but with xbmx and avalaunch i'm having the same problem always

i checked the xml from both softws and they all are okay, well i'll keep trying, it got to be something i missed.

are the default gateway and namservers (dns) set to the pc's ip?

If so make sure they are

errrr..... just checked it to see if it was still working there's some dodgy austrian witha decidedly orange permatan doing what i assume is a phone in/competition of some sort.

Alright pervs, go to the xbmc forum and find the thread that talks about tv streams (like 8-10 pages long). Somewhere in the middle of the thread a guy links to another thread saying to get the "tv streams.rar" file. Just get that file, unrar, and check out the european folder, unless its already in the streampack?

Nimbles, sorry if I got your hopes up but its only softcore :P When I was watching it the other day there was some naked pole dancing but haven't seen anything since.

But seriously guys no more talk about xxx streams here please as the mods will probably close this if it heads in that direction.

Discwizard- Not sure what your problem is maybe its bandwidth like nimbles said but I've been downloading all day and I didn't notice any change watching the streams. But make sure you have the newest xbmc and also not sure if it matters but I read that you should play them from the music section.

So you guys think its possible (or maybe in the near future) to record these streams? not sure about that- in my audio the only thing you can record from a streaming source is mp3 (shoutcast) and thats cos streaming mp3 is reasonably straightforward to record

There's quite a few native formats in those streams, (asf, wmv, wma) so i'm not sure its that straight forward with video, not sure the xbox processor would be able to cope with recording in realtime while still displaying video and audio.

Found out what the problem was! I have a capture card on my PC that I use to play Xbox when my kids want to watch TV. If I put it on my capture card (which is S-Video in) the video won't play. When I hooked it back up to my TV it worked great. Thanks for the help though.
