problems with mp3 in winamp

can anyone help
i d/l a few mp3 from internet
and when playing them in winamp, it play for about 20 sec then stop and there is a high squeeking sound but if you fast forward it it plays fine
is there something wrong or is it just the mp3

well that sounds like a fake/corrupt file but try and play it in windows media player if the same thing happens then it is fake/corrupt.
