Hi guys, I have an 8Gb micro SD card (with SD adapter) but it's corrupted and I need to get it back working again

it's partitioned to 7.5Gb FAT32 and 0.5Gb ext2

neither partition can be read and Windows can't format it, it says it's write protected (it's not)

Does anyone know anything I can use to get it back working again (even as 1 FAT32 partition)?
I'm having to use a spare 1Gb at the moment and it's not enough and it's not payday yet!

any help appreciated

It may be fubarred, but sometimes it can be the Adaptor or the Card Reader. Some older Card Readers cant handle the larger SDs.
Also, I'm sure you've checked but .... make sure the lock tab on the Adaptor hasn't moved to the lock position.

If you have a camera that takes SD cards, see if you can format it in that.

My phone won't read it (which is what it's used for) and neither will 2 adapters in 2 card readers

The only other thing you could try is a low level formatting program ........ I hear good things about this one (http://hddguru.com/content/en/software/2006.04.12-HDD-Low-Level-Format-Tool/) from HDDGURU ,recovering cards.

If it cant see the card or you get a format error, the card is probably damaged.
