anyone know a good player to play mkv files on my pc ??

Matroska files...has to be VLC Media player v0.9.9 is the most stable although beta v1.0.0 is out
It's free too so google away ;)

another vote here for VLC player. plays eveerything i have thrown at it and much better than having relplayer/wmp/quicktime and countless other programs installed!

thanks chaps i will dl VLC player. but i got it to work useing gom player, but will give VLC a go .

If you rename the file extension to avi, you can play them in powerdvd. But VLC is still better, although I've just started playing them in Windows media centre, which I quite like.
