Hi, Just got Ghostbusters just wanted to know if i can play it, oh should i wait till the game comes out in the uk in october.

plus the US original is Region Free.

This type of question has been asked repeatedly here. If you're that worried, don't play on XBL at all. There is no evidence either way in regards to playing on XBL before retail.

so if i play it offline but still signed into my profile it'll be fine and i will still be able to go online with other games afterwards.

a few friends will more then likely import the US original to play will there still have to do that aswell or will there be able to go online with it being original.

Oni - I've never really found a definite answer to this.

If you play a game whilst logged in to XBL (whether SP or MP) there is a chance that MS will recognise you are playing a backup and ban your 360 using its serial number.

If you have a stealth chip/drive firmware installed, then this is less likely to happen. If you haven't it is more likely to happen.
However, playing a game whilst logged on to XBLA before it has been released in this country, I reckon your chances go up more. MS can certainly check you're doing this and may then investigate your profile more to see your playing habits etc.

Playing it offline is safer, but I've never been sure if they can detect your save game date and then become suspicious. It depends a lot on how much MS care about that particular game Vs wether they are currently in a short term 'catch pirates' month etc.

Personally, I'd rather just wait until a game is released before playing it on or off line. But then, I'm a low risk kind of guy when it comes to my gamer points etc.

One hting you could do is take out the hard drive, not log on and then play it - I think that would be the safest you could possibly get - but even that might not be 100%.
