i haev a sony vaio and when it standby it turn off everything expect of a organe light.
my question is my sis comptuer whne it on standby everything shut down but the fan? it a custom comptuer
how come my comptuer fan not on when standby

The computer does not turn off, it goes to sleep in a sort of way. It still needs to be cooled.

Try using better english next time...

Which is fair enough, I just hope english isn't your first language. No offence, but before we can help you, we need to understand you.

So your saying that when you put your computer into a Stand By mode, all the fans switch off?

And this is a problem...? If it's not having any adverse affect on the PC, be thankful that the PC is silent.

You need to understand Standby and Hypernation. When a system hypernates, it stores all stuff from memory to the HD then shuts down. If the system is in standby mode, some power is needed to avoid losing things you have in the memory.

(My spelling is also too bad today. :) )
