compaq ethernet controller help please

i have been given a compaq dc 7600 small form factor computer and i have wiped it and reinstalled xp service pack 2, i went to the hp site and downloaded the drivers for the graphics etc i have also installed what i thought was the network controllers is this the same as the ethernet controller?i have been to the device manager and every thing is installed apart from the ethernet thingy any help in the right dirrection would be greatfully recived many thanks in annticipation:beer:

The PC uses an Intel Pro/1000 Gigabit network adapter. You can get the drivers here (http://www.intel.com/support/network/sb/cs-006120.htm).
