Got an nVidia geforce ti4600 128mb in my pc.

The gfx card has its own fan, i got a case fan, an extractor fan, and the motherboard fan (Asus).

But when playing games with full graphics acceleration (Hitman 3, FarCry) after about 5 to 10 minutes the screen goes all pixelated. Then just freezes with a messed up screen...My bro says it was because of the power supply so that was changed to a twin fan 350+ watt...Still get the same problem as the games graphics just get better and better!

Could it be because of the motherboard overheating? My Asus motherboards got that built in function, when it gets too heated it tries to restart. Juist wanna know what is causing the probs and will new fans fix it?

Thanks.

try putting a fast fan on the other side of the card.did this with my card and is now 43idle.the fan was small but was 6400rpm.also try playing with the side pannel off.

Motherboards don't overheat. If you have video artifacts then its most likely your video card. Try putting a fan on it or replacing the stock fan.

hi sounds to me too that your graffics card is over heating
get this sorted out asap or it can damage the ram on the card.
when you boot the pc up if you leave it say for 10 mins there will be little pixels that come up all over the screen
if nothing happens like this your card is ok for now
