live question

hi lads my son 360 is chipped with 1.4 xtreme
he has been on live for 2 days now
and i am having trouble connecting
i have it connected to a modded modem
when i test connectting on 360 the first time
it goes through the live one with no problems saying live is up and running
but when i try to connect to live with profile is says conot connect to live
then when i go into test again for second time ,it doesnt go past the network bit
does this sound like modem or 360 problem
can he be banned (is there a way to check this)
or does it sound like a connection problem with modem

If it was banned, it would get up to xbox live and fail, then on the more info bit for everything above and xbox live, it would says this console has been banned (or something like that) so sounds like a modem issue from what you have said.

Test connection again and click on more info and see what it says, ifs it normal than no ban :)

if you run the test again, check the status codes. if the Z code is anything other than 0000-0000 then the console is banned from XBL.

Have you set up port forwarding on your modem?
If you can't do that can you set the XBOX to be in a DMZ on your modem?
