sata hard drive problems need help please

have three sata h/d and a sata dvd rom
all were working fine now 2 of the h/ds show up for a while then disapeare
if i reboot the system in the dos screen it cant find them
reboot again and there there can use them then they dissapeare again
updated the drivers for the motherboard tried the drives in an external caddy and they work ok
so was woundering if its the motherboard as this as just happend in the last week

I would check the SATA data cables and then the PSU first. Let's try different data cables and power connectors (from the PSU) for the drives in question. If no improvement, try another PSU.

its more likely disabled in your bios

go in and set it to default.

if that does not work its possible down to a bad lead or
the power lead has lost ots voltage.

tried new sata cables and working fine now
