Video stops after 10 seconds

I have another problem :(

Someone send me a DVD with I believe a avi file not 100% sure (Will check when I get into work)

The problem is it stops after just 10 seconds but the timer keeps on moving. I know the video is longer as I have spoken to the person.

Is it a codec problem? I've tried playing this file on 6 different cpu's.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

1st try installing the free DivX player (http://www.divx.com/) to update the codecs on the system. If it doesn't fix the problem, try the GOM player (http://www.gomlab.com/eng/).
