XBMC - how do I use weather and TV features?

Can anyone tell me how to use the weather features and TV features in XBMC. I cannot find a reasonable tutorial on how to do this. Any help is greatly appreciated.

weather- you can search for your town or closest major town in the settings section depending on the skin you are using could be in "general" or have a separate weather settings-when you search it will come up with an on screen keyboard and then enter it-you should be able to configure how temp and wind speed appears as well-

tv- what are you talking about? do you have replay tv? or tivo? otherwise there is no way of actually running terrestrial/cable tv as the xbox doesn't have any form of video in

Thanks again for the help and patience Nimbles. I just saw the Replay TV feature and was wondering what it does. What do I need to do to connect my xbox to the internet, where I assume the weather etc. comes from?

well easiest way is to connect to a router if thats the way you connect to the internet with your pc and you have a spare port- and switch from static to dhcp ip (router sets the ip) in all your apps and dash

Its also possible to do it through your pc (assuming you have to NIC cards) using Internet connection sharing but I use a router and have no idea you set it up from there- i know alot of people who blindly set it up have issues with firewall etc.

Remember if using a router you're more than likely gonna need a straight through rather thanx-over cable- but with pc you'll need x-over

they've just added .nsv .ntv support and the streaming media from the net but its all a bit buggy at the mo, and only in very newest cvs release so unless you're compiling the code yourself i don't think you'll have the feature
