xbox live codes

Just got one of them wireless things for the xbox so want to try xbox live out anyone tell me if there's free codes or out for these or do i need to pay.I only want to see what it's like before getting 12 months as i've got the ps3 for online.Also when i got my 360 inside was a thing saying i can have gold for 1 month free yet i've reg and never got it or do i need to input a code

Your have to register a silver account which is free and then it should up coming say claim one month free gold?

The free month is automatically activated when you create a new Xbox Live account.

never give me it,i just bought a month to see what it's like if it's any good may get 12 months cheers anyway

Theres a place online that does the year for, £25 i think, so if you do want to go for the year, be a saving on the usual £40.

used to get all mine from ebay.
I say used to cos I got rid of my console after the last one failed yet again (had about 8 or 9 of the things).
My gamertag still has over a year left to run on it's sub and not getting used.
