Hi guys

Firstly Happy Christmas to everyone.

Okay, I don't know much about the Xbox360 but my son has just landed me with his as it's stopped reading DVD disks.

So I opened it up and discovered it had the following DVD drive installed:

Samsung Model TS-H943 MS28

I contacted a company that sells these drives and was advised I'd be better off getting the MS25 (not MS28) as it can be programmed to read copied discs.

As I know nothing about the Xbox, I took their advice and now I have an MS25 drive to fit in the Xbox.

This is where I need some help!

What firmware & where can I download it?
What programming software do I need to do the biz?
Anything else :)

Thanks guys

Have a great Christmas

John

Thanks guys,

If I don't feel to fat after Christmas turkey, I'll get it done later :)

Just taken a look at that site (xbins) - geez, there's a lot to choose from!
Any tips what I should downlaod for the Samsung Model TS-H943 MS25?

1. To retrieve the firmware/keys from the broken DVD using my PCs external eSATA port
2. Which new firmware to use on the new drive?
3 Software to program replacement DVD drive Samsung Model TS-H943 MS25

Cheers

John

Just buy any MS2x and swap the PCB's - then hack using JungleFlasher / Dosflash or MTKFlash with Samsung iXtreme 1.5
