Xbox Live Prob, help!!!

Basically i'm trying to connect my lad's 360 to Live and keep getting a Gateway error. I've put the IP address in manually as his old one was set up wirelessly before he got Banned!

Now using Powerline adapters but just fails on the Gateway thingy, just in case you can't guess, it's not my thing.

Any help would be much appreciated as he's doing my tree in lol.

So this is a new 360 as the old one was banned?

Gateway error means it's something on your network.

It could be a problem with the powerline adapters. If they're working they will both have one solid green light and one flickering green light.

If you still have the wireless adapter you can use it on the new console.

@ Acheron, yes it's a different Console m8 :)

@ mp3boy I've got past that problem now but getting a MTU Failure. I've checked Settings in my Router and it's set above the 1364 recommended. Bit stumped now :(
