Can any flashers confirm that this works?:merry:
Yes, 100% - I beta'd it as did mp3boy.
I also compiled the DF32 / manual guide.

Spoofing will always be more detectable than flashing the original drive.
Basic JungleFlasher / LiteOn guide.

Who wrote the original instructions which came with the package?
Had 2 peeps on the phone already this morning with 2 doorstops now lol....
I can see alot more ...
Step 4 of the jungle flashing is causing the problem...
People not reading instructions and erasing the chip before reading there key.
Better off with the pdf guide like abve with pics etc for the flashing virgins.
If they are stupid enough to proceed past 2 warnings its their own fault.
Iriez, I believe wrote the instructions in .txt format, I compiled the PDF's
Problem was, JF wasnt really confirmed as going public beta until last minute, so I had only compiled the Dosflash method tutorial as of 5.30am
Took a half day and compiled JF tutorial, complete with warnings.

my advice is not to use jungle flashing program, well now anyway, doesnt work with via cards very well at all. But a long hard think and some help from TPG did it in dos and worked fine.

I have gone and lost my drivers disk for my via pci card :(
Is there a tutorial to do this from a dos usb disk? Or do I still need the drivers?
If its a 6421x I used the 530c drivers on Viaarena.com flawlessly.

in dosflash trying to flash my 3rd lite on, but for some reason its sticking on bank 1 when writing. anyone know why?
For if anyone gets this problem, i had to use a different method in dos, had to use the l-o-eras.exe command and after that worked fine.

If its a 6421x I used the 530c drivers on Viaarena.com flawlessly.
According to the chip on it , it is a VT6421a
Drivers from Viaarena I already tried and it says no device found for them :S
It is showing in device manager though, just doesnt show any manufacturer
Easier to use no drivers it seems for most.

ok, I got drivers and after a bit of messing I read the key.
Problem now is I cant get no power from the drive. Cant eject it and now it freezes when I switch on CK3 pro.
Do we think drive is fooked?
Good job it was an old swap out liteon

You mean you cant get the drive to eject etc? this does happen when you erased the drives original firmware.

It just doesnt seem to have any power going to it, the eject button on ck3 doesnt work.
Seems to be ok to switch on in windows now but doesnt find the drive anymore.
I think maybe the mess up came as I was wiping the current firmware from drive. Seemed to freeze and close half way through.
Nothing happens now

Rite try this then, if you have the key, and make your firmware do it this way:
'5 hours it took before i managed to flash my mates one, jungleflash is absoloute bull<censored>....
make the fw with jungleflash then follow this
If your drive freezes using Jungletool do this:
1) Make a dos boot disk
2)Copy the insides of the 'dos' folder in Ixtreme 1.5
3)Copy your newly made Ixtreme 1.5 file with your own key inserted to it (rename it IX15.bin for ease)
4) Make sure 'l-o-eras.exe' is in there
5)Boot to dos
6)Type 'l-o-eras.exe' followed by the port number you're using. In my case I wrote 'l-o-eras.exe EC00'
EC00 being my port number
7)Keep retrying untill you get a 'FF72' status after the command
8 ) FF72 = Fully erased drive
9)Type 'Dosflash'
10) Should talk some stuff about MTK Vendors and should find any dvd drives present.
11) Keep pressing 'N' untill you come across your Lite-on (Mine was listed as Unknown Drive on port EC00)
12) Press 'Y' when you get to your Lite-on.
13) It should come up saying a number of options talking about 'W for write' , E for Erase etc.
14) Type ' W'
15) Should come up saying 'Type the file name of the bin you want to flash'
16) Type 'IX15.bin'
17) Wait and it should flash 4 banks (might say erase again aswell)
18 )Wait for a data checksum'
I followed that way of doing it and worked fine after 4 hours of messing about last nite on 3rd awkward lite on, today did one in 10 mins using above method.
Props to dpbmt off ather forum for posting this.
