View Full Version : Liteon Com Port & New Mobo Any Ideas

Right i made the mistake of buying a new mobo without a com port onboard so i brought a pci serial card , now when i run dvdkey it grabs indentify & inquiry bins but wont read from com port ive tried a few things but cannot get it to work any ideas would be most apprieciated

your pci serial card may not be com1, check in system settings, device manager under ports (com and lpt)

Sorted it dvdkey32 didnt work but use xc3 proggy works a treat

Oh i see you got keys mate. Did you use a homemade max232 ?
Also with did you just open command window through start >cmd > and type -
dvdkey32 aaaa x with a =sata address b= com port

Roman iam not using a max232 adapter i brought a xecuter 3 pro kit from shopneo and on xecuter web page theres a program designed for it ck3tools does much the same as maximus program but like i said for some strange reason dvdkey32 would work for me even though i used command DVDKEY32 EC00 1 but the ck3 tools does exactly the same but works ???
