Lite key dumping, advice

Hey,
right i see now that there is a solderless option to extracting the key out of a lite on, im considering getting the parts so that i can extract a lite on key and spoof to another drive. As my mum is thinking of getting my little brothers one for christmas.

So firstly, i have seen i need these products, connectivity kit (http://www.**********.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=44&products_id=553&osCsid=e09cc97ed1cb67d7cddcfe29f337ede8) and the Xecuter CK3 PROBE, but i don't know where to purchase that yet. is the connectivity kit a good price? and does anyone know where to purchase the probe and at what price?

next is where to get replacement drives, and how much should i be looking to pay?

Also is there a guide anywhere on how to do this, as i can flash 360's and i assume that now with this hardware it will be just a few more steps to extract the key and spoof a new drive.

The connectivity kit (with probe if you can't solder) is a good piece of kit and will pay for itself with a few mods. It's worth going for the Pro for the USB serial adapter.

Replacement drives are about £30 for new Samsung Ms28 on dealextreme.com

There is speculation that C4E has confirmed that Liteon full flash for backups is working. No release yet but possibly in testing stage.
Never seen the efnet log myself so can't guarantee, however sounds encouraging.

Thanks mp3boy, yh ive seen that ppl are saying you may still need the extractor but be able to flash the lite on. Only thing is i cant wait too long as mum wants it for a xmas present. But i think as proper doesnt come instock till like 12-15th december ill wait a tiny bit. Ive been in the efnet and yh its confirmed as the title that they making progress shall i say.

Well i think im going to get my stuff off mrmodchip the extractor and probe, as be a firmware release soon for lite on hopefully. Do i need anything else? like in guides ive seen a green power cable? and a molex cable or do i just use one from my pc or?

Hey can anyone tell me wheneva the lite on firmware comes out, will i still need the ck3 and the probe still to get the key, I ask because i hopefully going to order this week so not to get caught up in last post for christmas.

I wouldnt trust mr modchips shipping times...
He claims them to be in on the 15th for probe etc
Ive been buying bits from him for years and he has never had anything in on time...

All you need is the kit and the probe attachment (or soldering ability).
